Senegal unrest: Opposition leader's sentenced triggers protests

Anti-government protests have continued in Senegal for a second day. At least nine people have been killed. Demonstrations broke out following the sentencing of opposition leader Ousmane Sonko to two years' jail for “corrupting youth”, charges Sonko and his supporters say are politically motivated. The conviction means he will not be able to run for president in next year's elections.
