Saudi Arabia and the US are verifying reported violations of the ceasefire that they brokered

Saudi Arabia and the U.S. said late on Tuesday they were seeking to verify reported violations of a ceasefire in Sudan and that preparations were under way for humanitarian relief operations. In a joint statement, they said Sudan's warring factions failed to abide by a commitment not to seek military advantage in the days before the ceasefire started on Monday.
