The United States has promised India help in finding those responsible for the worst attack in India-administered Kashmir in decades. The attack on Thursday on a paramilitary convoy killed 42 CRPF personnel. Accusing Islamabad of supporting armed groups in the territory, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday that security forces in Kashmir have been given a free hand to deal with the "terrorists".
