The silent killer: Tuberculosis infections are on the rise

The World Health Organization says the numbers of tuberculosis infections and deaths are rising for the first time in nearly 20 years. The COVID-19 pandemic disrupted efforts to end the tuberculosis epidemic. Although COVID-19 killed millions, TB has killed many more throughout the decades.
