Indonesia parliament approves ban on sex outside marriage

In Indonesia, lawmakers have voted to criminalize extra-marital sex. The legislation which still needs to be signed by the president would apply to both citizens and foreigners. Offenders could be punished by up to one year in jail. The parliament is still fine-tuning the details of that law and it isn't expected to come into effect for another three years. Critics say the measure undermines civil liberties in the world's third-largest democracy. Nicholas Rushworth explains.
