The word 'pandemic' is currently being associated with the global spread and impact of Covid-19. But it was preceded by another pandemic - that of HIV and AIDS - which is still going on. After many decades, there is still no HIV vaccine, but more recently there have been significant scientific breakthroughs in the fight to prevent infection. DW correspondent Adrian Kriesch reports from Cape Town.
