But one speech from 2019, where she attacks “financial speculators,” is particularly troubling because that phrase is often used as code for Jewish people. It shouldn't shock us that the far-right leader of a party that descends from Mussolini's fascism is using this same rhetoric, but it should scare us, Mehdi says.
