Biden signs $740bn health, climate, tax ‘Inflation Reduction Act’

US President Joe Biden has signed a 740-billion-dollar climate, health and tax bill into law. Biden said the Inflation Reduction Act addresses climate change and reduces deficits by having the wealthy pay more taxes. Though less than Biden originally wanted, the legislation brings the most significant investment to fight climate change in United States history. It is a key legislative victory for the Democrats, but Republicans have criticized the bill.
