Thailand’s poor struggle to survive as inflation soars

The Bank of Thailand is expected to raise interest rates to counter rising inflation. But that will bring little relief for Thais, who have seen sharp increases in the costs of food and fuel. Many people struggle to survive in a society where the gap between rich and poor is one of the widest in the world. Al Jazeera visited the home of a deaf family in Bangkok - struggling to survive under a road bridge on $20 benefit a month.
