Cannes 2022: Five women directors compete for Palme d'Or prize

As the stars continue to line up at the Cannes Film Festival, many are focused on the top prize, the Palme d'Or. Despite a promise four years ago that the festival would work towards greater gender parity, only 5 of the 21 films competing for the prize are directed by women.
