Qatar’s Aspire sports academy grows local talent

Qatar play their next game against Iraq on Monday - but they are already into the quarter-finals. The reigning Asian champions are quite unique because the majority of the squad grew up playing together. In 2019, Qatar's young football team gave the country its greatest moment on the pitch, winning its first Asian title. Qatar's sudden arrival on the world scene was a shock to many - but it has come after years of hard work. Al Jazeera's Joanna Gasiorowska visited the state-of-the-art football school, Aspire Academy in Doha, where the team was built.
