Deforestation in Brazil Amazon rainforest soars 67 percent

Deforestation of the Amazon rainforest has risen for the third consecutive month. The number of trees destroyed in May was also 67 percent higher than the same time last year. Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro promised to increase funding to protect the Amazon in April, but is yet to follow through. Al Jazeera's Monica Yanakiew reports from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
