Alexei Navalny jailed until at least mid-February

Anti-corruption campaigner and Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny was told by a court on Monday that he would remain behind bars for several weeks. He'll also face a trial which could send him to prison for more than three years, over what he says are trumped up charges. He was arrested shortly after arriving back in Russia on Sunday. He'd been returning from Germany where he'd recovered from being poisoned with Novichok, a Soviet-era nerve agent.
