Holiday Inn workers accuses NLC of unfair treatment | Business Dashboard

Some former workers of Holiday Inn Hotel in Accra have criticized the National Labour Commission for failing to ensure that the hotel pays them their redundancy packages.

The workers say they were promised a one-month redundancy package by their employer, Patrick Farez, after the Hotel was taken over by a new owner early this year. The workers took their grievances to the National Labour Commission which ruled that the hotel pays them a redundancy package of up to six months latest by October.

The workers, who massed up at the premises of the hotel this morning, tell Citi Business News the deadline for payment has passed with no word from the owner of the hotel.
