Saving the ocean | Mauritian volunteers join efforts to stop oil spread from damaged cargo ship
Local volunteers try to stop oil from spreading as damaged Japanese bulk carrier ship MV 'Wakashio' could fall apart after running aground on a reef off near Pointe d'Esny, Mauritius. The carrier's damaged tank has stopped leaking, according to reports. However, nearly 2,000 tons of oil still remain in the undamaged tanks.
