Yesennia Aracely has been missing since March 2022. She was last seen near Akron Stadium in Guadalajara, Jalisco, one of the host cities of the World Cup. Jalisco is also the state with the highest number of enforced disappearances. 1

Yesennia is one of more than 100,000 people missing in Mexico, though researchers and activists estimate the real number could be much higher. 2 Families of missing people and search groups have criticized the government for the lack of support and attention, while resources are being allocated to the World Cup.
