One Of Germany's Biggest Environmental Scandals | Dw Documentary

A routine inspection in 2012 that uncovered industrial chemicals, known as PFAS, in the drinking water of the southern German town of Rastatt was one of the biggest environmental scandals ever to hit Germany.

PFAS are found in many everyday products such as Teflon pans and water-repellent clothing. They're also known as "forever chemicals" because they don't readily break down, are highly persistent in the environment and can cause considerable long-term damage.
