Ghana To Hold First Training Session Today Ahead of South Africa AFCON Qualifier

The Black Stars of Ghana will hold their first training session in Accra later today to begin preparations for their match against the Bafana Bafana in the qualifiers to the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The two giants of African football are hoping to secure qualification to the next AFCON after performing poorly in the 2019 edition which was staged in Egypt some months ago.

They have both been pitted in Group C of the qualifiers alongside Sudan and Sao Tome and Principe.

The invited Black Stars players will arrive in camp this morning and will go on to have their first training session at the Accra Sports Stadium later this evening.

The exercise which will last for one hour will commence at 15:00GMT and end at 16:00GMT.

The team will then move to Cape Coast and pitch camping there in anticipation of the crucial AFCON qualifier against South Africa.

That Group C game will be played on Thursday, November 14, 2019, at the Cape Coast Stadium.

Kick-off time is at 19:00GMT.
