GFA Elections: NC Rejects Osei Parmer’s Disqualification Appeal

The Normalization Committee (NC) has rejected the appeal from Wilfred Osei Kwaku Palmer seeking to have his disqualification from contesting the Ghana Football Association (GFA) presidential elections overturned.

The football administrator successfully filed his nominations to declare his intention of vying for the vacant position at the football governing body last month.

Following an interaction with a vetting committee put up by the elections committee, however, Osei Palmer was subsequently disqualified from contesting on grounds that he had previously faulted in the payment of some 10% from the sale of a player to the GFA.

In an attempt to have that decision overturned, the bankroller filed an appeal to the NC earlier this week with several documents attached to defend his case.

In a statement from the NC dated October 8, 2019, they have highlighted that the appeal has been rejected after reviewing the attached documents.

“We regret to inform you that based on the above listed documents received, before the deadline, your appeal was unsuccessful”, a portion of the reply to the appeal noted.
