Ghanaian Defender Nicholas Amponsah Eyes Black Meteors Call-Up For Caf U-23 AFCON

U.S based Ghanaian defender Nicholas Opoku has expressed his desire to don the Black Meteors jersey following his impressive performance in the American USL Championship.

Nicholas Opoku is a centre-back who plays for Chattanooga Red Wolves SC in the USL Championship.

In an exclusive interview with SportsworldGhana.com, the stalwart defender could not hide his desire of playing for Ghana U-23 national team.

“Oh yeah, it’s my dream to play for the Black Meteors. It’s not only me but I think every Ghanaian player will say same if you ask him this question,” Mensah said.

“I’m happy with my form this season in the USL Championship but the job I will keep working harder to make my dream of getting an invitation to play for the Black Meteors a reality.”

The Formena Amass graduate has played 20 out of a total 26 games for

Chattanooga Red Wolves SC so far this season.
He has one goal to his credit.
Ghana have qualified to play in the 2019 CAF U-23 Cup of Nations which will be staged in Egypt.
