AFCON 2019: Stephen Appiah Congratulates Black Stars Players After Roun 16 Qualification

Technical coordinator of the Black Stars, Stephen Appiah has heaped praises on the Black Stars players for securing round 16 berth.

Ghana defeated the Djurtus 2-0, courtesy goals from Jordan Ayew and Thomas Partey at the Suez Stadium.

After a poor first half performance, the Black Stars returned from the break a better side with Jordan Ayew scoring a beautiful goal from a brilliant solo effort before Thomas Partey added the second following some good passing football from the team.

However, the former Black Stars skipper has congratulated the team for the hard-fought win on Tuesday.

"Guys congratulations to you all for the qualification. The real work has begun. Yes we can👍🏿 #ghana #blackstars ," Appiah shared on his official Instagram page.

Ghana will face Tunisia, who finished runners up in Group E in the last 16 on Monday, July 8 at the Ismailia Stadium.
