Liberian trader in court for stabbing two people

Accra, Dec. 22, GNA - A Liberian trader, who allegedly stabbed two persons with a broken bottle during a scuffle, appeared before an Accra Circuit Court on Thursday charged with causing harm. Monger King pleaded not guilty and the court admitted him to a 300-million cedi bail with two sureties to reappear on January 16, 2006. Prosecuting Chief Inspector Alice Takyiwa said King lived in the same house at Fadama in Accra with his landlord, Alhaji Ibrahim, who was the complainant.

The Prosecution said at about 2100 hours on December 15, King had a confrontation with a co-tenant, Mohammed, who wanted him to move to another room on the same compound. When Ibrahim went to the rescue of Mohammed during the scuffle, King stabbed them with a broken bottle.
