Hearts Come From Behind To Bet Skyy Fc 2-1

Accra Hearts of Oak climbed from a goal down earlier today to record a 2-1 victory over lower division side Skyy Fc in a friendly encounter.

The Phobians after losing to Royal Fc in midweek has managed to win back to back matches in the space of 24 hours.

Head Coach Kim Grant and his charges yesterday beat the Ghana u20 team by 2 goals to 1 at the Tema Sport Stadium. A result which they have repeated today. This time around in Daboase in the Western Region where they played Skyy Fc.

In today’s friendly, it was the home team that opened the scoring to shake the Premier League giants. Winger Alex Anim connected to an in swinging cross to put Skyy fc in front.

The lead was kept intact at the end of the first half as both sides were unable to take any of the chances they created. Hearts started the second half a lot better and stronger as they mounted pressure in a bid to get level.

Their efforts were eventually rewarded on the 50th minute when Abubakar Troare finished off a fine team move to put us his side on level terms. In form Anthony Quayson got on the score sheet on the 78th minute to makes it 2-1 for the rainbow boys after tapping home a shot across in the area.

These friendly matches are to prepare Accra Hearts of Oak for the upcoming Ghana Football Association Normalization Committee special competition which will be starting on February 3.
