Hearts Of Oak Pays Chief Imam A Visit

Accra Hearts of Oak today visited the National Chief Imam Sheikh Dr Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu at the Accra Central Mosque in Abose okai.

Reports indicate that the leadership of the club together with the playing body paid a courtesy visit to the National Chief Imam as part of activities towards their anniversary celebration.

Chief Executive Officer Mark Noonan was among the delegation that embarked on the visit today together with some big wigs of the club.

Founded on November 11 1911, the Accra based club will be 117 years old this Sunday. To celebrate the feat, the Phobians visited their roots today before visiting the Chief Imam.

They have scheduled an anniversary match with Inter Allies on Sunday to mark the occasion. Earlier this week they unveiled their new and improved logo.

Hearts of Oak has unveiled former Black Stars striker Kim Grant as their new Director of Football and first team head coach.

Some other activities will follow tomorrow before the big day on Sunday.

The Club has thus urged their teeming supporters to troop to the Tema Sports Stadium for their anniversary match against Inter Allies on Sunday.
