Stephen Appiah Salutes Fenerbahçe SK
Former Ghana skipper, Stephen Appiah has expressed his appreciation after he was honoured by his former club Fenerbahçe SK.
The 39-year-old enjoyed a memorable two and half years at the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium.
The former Juventus ace and another former Fernabache star, Diego Lugano were presented with plaques before Fenerbahçe played their entertaining 1-1 draw with rivals Besiktas on Monday.
The pair were presented with framed Fernabache-themed plaques which had their images by a Board Member of the club Selahattin Baki.
Appiah joined the Turkish outfit on 2005 from Juventus and left in 2008 after an extended knee-injury layoff and a contract dispute with the club.
He made 90 appearances for the club and scored 17 times.
