Sassuolo Coach Roberto Zerbi Reveals Kevin Boateng Was His First Transfer Target

Head coach od US Sassuolo, Roberto De Zerbi says 'unique' Kevin-Prince Boateng was his first transfer target in the summer transfer window.

The former Las Palmas star joined the Italian from Eintracht Frankfurt after helping them to win the DFP Pokal Cup beating Bayern Munich in the finals.

However, the 31-year-old has hit the ground running after penning down a two-year deal.

And coach Roberto De Zerbi has revealed the Ghanaian has always been his top transfer target.

"Unique, exceptional, he is the first player I wanted," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

Boateng has previously played for AC Milan as well as Schalke 04, Hertha Berlin, Tottenham Hotspur and Portsmouth.
