Member of Parliament for Odotobri presents Sports items to clubs

Jacobu (Ash), Oct.6, GNA - Mr Emmanuel Gyamfi, Member of Parliament (MP) for Odotobri (NPP) in the Amansie Central District of the Ashanti Region has presented sports equipment valued at 10 million cedis to a number of football clubs in the District as his contribution towards the development of the sport in the District.

The items made up of 21 footballs, two sets of jerseys and hoses were bought from his share of the District Assemblies Common Fund. The Amansie Central District Assembly also supported the clubs with six million cedis.

Making the presentation at Jacobu, the MP said the District Assembly is ready to support any football Club from the area that will emerge victorious during the District's Middle League competition. Mr Gyamfi advised the Clubs to be disciplined and hardworking to ensure that the District improves and makes an impact in its sporting activities. Mr Kwame Asamoah Boateng, the District Chief Executive assured the clubs of the Assembly's support to raise the standard of football in the District.
