WAFA captain Mohammed Alhassan laments poor officiating in Wa All Stars draw

Captain of West African Football Academy, Mohammed Alhassan has attributed his club’s defeat against Wa All Stars to referee Justice Addo Poku.

The game ended 1-1 after ninety-minutes after David Abagna Sandan had cancelled out a first-half goal by Umar Bashiru through the spot in the matchday 12 fixture of the Ghana Premier League.

According to him, the knight of the whistle clearly told him during the game that he will be doing everything possible to award Wa All Stars get all the three points.

Speaking to the press after the game, Alhassan emphasized that the officiating in the first half was okay but the attitude of the referee changed in the second as he decided to favour the home side.

“The first half was okay. In the second half, the referee wanted to intimidate us. For the penalty, it was obviously not a penalty but the referee decided to award it.” Mohammed stated during the Post-match presser.

“Me in particularly as the captain, the referee openly told me he will be giving the three points to Wa All Stars,” he added.
