Chelsea Comes From Behind To Beat Watford 4-2

Michy Batshuayi's double capped a resilient Chelsea display as they fought back from 2-1 down to beat Watford 4-2 at Stamford Bridge.

Pedro put paid to the early threat posed by Watford when he curled home a stunning opener following a contentious penalty decision (12), but in first-half stoppage time, Abdoulaye Doucoure made Chelsea pay for some slack defending (45+2) by lashing home a close-range volley.

Four minutes into the second half, Richarlison squared for the unmarked Roberto Pereyra to fire beyond Thibaut Courtois (49), but Batshuayi's header made it 2-2 (71).

With three minutes of normal time remaining, Cesar Azpilicueta nodded the third past Heurelho Gomes from Willian's cross (87), before second-half substitute Batshuayi prodded home a fourth to cap the victory.

The result sees the Blues prevent a third straight Premier League defeat and leapfrog Watford into fourth, with the Hornets just a point behind.
