UEFA Women’s CL: Ampah, Abambilla Fail To Reach Round Of 16

Ghana women internationals Faustina Ampah and Ernestina Abambilla have been eliminated from the 2017/18 UEFA Women’s Champions League following their defeat with Minsk FK.

The pair each featured for the Belarusian side when they suffered a 4-3 defeat at Czech Republican side Slavia Prague on Wednesday.

Ampah started the game and lasted the entire duration in central defence while Abambilla came off the bench to assist Nigerian Emueje Ogbiagbevha who scored in the 90th minute.

Minsk failed to progress to the round of 16 which means their journey in the competition has ended.

Abambilla, 18, signed a 3-year-contract at Minsk in the summer whiles the former Blessed Ladies captain Ampah signed a season.

The two have already been invited by the Coach Didi Dramani for the upcoming international friendly with France on October 23.
