Red Arrows stop protest with CAF

RED Arrows chairman Steve Chilima says his club will not lodge an official complaint to Confederations of African Football (CAF) over the poor refereeing during their weekend loss to Ghana's King Faisal 'Babes'.

Colonel Chilima said yesterday upon arrival from Ghana that complaining to CAF would not change anything although his boys outplayed the Ghanaians in the return leg of their Confederations Cup fourth round tie.

He said even the locals were of the view that Arrows played better than King Faisal but that they were just robbed of the game in which the Zambians twice took the lead only to be pegged back by dubious penalties before the home side struck a last gasp winner.

Chilima said after the 9-1 humiliation to CAF Champions League holders Enyimba, Arrows had improved greatly and that their focus would now be to retain the league title which they won last year.
