Manchester United's Ghanaian defender Timothy Fosu-Mensah wants to emulate idol Michael Carrick.

Mensah, 19, has impressed since he made his senior debut for the club last season.

The highly-rated defender is eager to fill the shoes of veteran Michael Carrick who is at the twilight of his United career.
