Akosombo Texiles Limited produces funeral cloths for coach Sam Arday

Two customized funeral cloths for the funeral of late celebrated Ghanian coach Sam Arday has gone on sale.

It was produced by Akosombo Textile Limited (ATL) as a tribute to the 'Multi-system Man 'who died on 15 February.

The cloths bear Arday's photograph, Adinkra symbols and other accolades.

Sam Hemans-Arday, son of the late coach, told the Ghana News Agency: ''The price of the cloth is GHȼ100.00 and is available at the family house at Lartebiokorshie and Orient Express at Makola (Angelina Stores).''

Arday was an ex-Black Stars coach and guided Ghana to win the 1995 FIFA U17 World Cup in Ecuador.

In 1992, he became the first Black coach to win an Olympic football medal after handling the Ghana U23 team to win bronze in Barcelona.

Arday until his death was technical director for the West African Football Academy (WAFA SC).
