Christian Atsu confident fit players will help Ghana advance from 'Group of Death' at 2017 AFCON

Newcastle United star Christian Atsu is confident Ghana will emerge from the Group of Death at the Africa Cup of Nations if the Black Stars are fully fit for the tournament in Gabon.

Atsu, who was adjudged the best player of the last edition of the tournament, says he expects the Black Stars to go through with every player available at the competition.

The Stars were paired in a tough group alongside Egypt, Mali and Uganda in Group D of the tournament.

But Ghana has been blighted by injuries in recent months with Andre Ayew, Asamoah Gyan, Kwadwo Asamoah and a host of others have all been affected.

'We need each and everyone to be fit . That's all," the Newcastle United loanee wrote in reaction to the draw made on Wednesday.

Ghana open their Group D campaign when they play Uganda on 17 January.
