Ivorian wunderkind Franck Kessie drawing inspiration from Ghana icon Michael Essien

Ivorian international Franck Kessie has revealed he is drawing inspiration from Ghana icon Michael Essien.

The Atalanta youngster has been hogging the headlines in the Serie A after scoring four times in six games this season.

And, the 19-year-old has revealed he wants to emulate the former Real Madrid and Chelsea star.

"My idol as a midfielder is Michael Essien, for the physical game and the courage he had, and also for game viewing, " he said.

AS Roma have been strongly linked with a move for the youngster.
