Defender Phil Ofosu-Ayeh has emerged as one of few consistent Ghanaian performers in Europe this season

Phil Ofosu-Ayeh has emerged as one of the most in-form and consistent Ghanaian defenders in Europe this season so far.

The 23-year-old, who plays for German Bundesliga II side Eintracht Braunschweig, has turned the screws in a flamboyant class this season.

The right-back has been at the centre of an enthralling campaign so far for the side.

Eintracht Braunschweig lost their only league this season against Stuttgart without the Ghanaian international.

The hugely-rated right-back provides good delivery from the flank and shows good composure on the ball.

He is a solid, well-balanced right-back and combines that with an attacking forays and strong defensive qualities.

He is expected to be named in Ghana's squad for the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Uganda on October 7 and the international friendly against South Africa in Durban.
