Serge Aurier: PSG defender sentenced to two months in prison

In May 2016, PSG's Serge Aurier was arrested after insulting the police and being violent towards them upon leaving a nightclub in Paris at 6am.

The 23-year-old Ivorian right-back was sentenced to two months in prison and handed a €21000 fine for assaulting a policeman - The PSG star has appealed the sentence.

Aurier will NOT go behind bars
Various French media outlets are reporting that the sentence is 'convertible' so Aurier is highly unlikely to actually serve time. Community service seems likely.

Sent off in Friday night's shock 2-0 Ligue Un defeat to Toulouse, the young Ivorian international is still available to play away at Ludogorets in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
