CAF Confederation Cup: Medeama's big task to fall T.P. Mazembe as semi finals beckon

Medeama have a mighty ask on Sunday afternoon in their penultimate match of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage. The Mauves and Yellows have their home invincibility at the Sekondi stadium under a real threat when T.P. Mazembe walks onto the field with their fearsome history, wealth and team quality.

The task is not business as usual, especially when the result of Saturday's match in Tanzania brightened the chances of the Tarkwa based side to make a step further to the semi finals. Young Africans beat Algerian side, M.O. Bejeia 1-0 in Der es Salaam to open up the spot for the second team to qualify from the group.

Medeama must beat Mazembe to take a bold step towards yet another dreamland before the final contest in Algeria. This nagging headache is what makes coach Prince Owusu recall in pain how his team squandered great opportunities to draw at home to M.O. Bejeia.

play Press Conference for Medeama ahead of the game.
