Jordan Ayew: Ghanaian player's Championship debut ends in heartbreak

Ghanaian forward Jordan Ayew made his English Championship debut for Aston Villa on Sunday as the new season kicks off.

The Black Stars striker joined Aston Villa at the start of last season when the team were playing in the English Premier League. Despite a superb performance for a very poor Villa team last season, Ayew and his club could not survive relegation as they dropped to another division after sacking two managers in one season.

Jordan has been on Aston Villa's pre-season tour after his holidays and has performed well for the club despite being linked with a move away.
