Gideon Mensah’s Delight

Former West Africa Football Academy left back Gideon Mensah has expressed his delight after making his first official start for FC Liefering in the second tier of the Austrian league.

“I played my first official game for FC Liefering today as we went to beat Wiener Neustadt in the Week 2 of this season’s Austrian Erste Division,” the youngster wrote on his social media page.

Gideon Mensah signed a five year deal for FC Red Bull Salzburg barely two weeks ago, but was loaned to FC Liefering which is known to be a farm team for the Austrian giant (Red Bull).

The Untersberg-Arena side won 4-1 over Wiener Neustadt on Friday, July 29, 2016.
