African Youth Championship: Black Satellites suffer 1-3 defeat against Senegal

Ghana's bid to secure a third consecutive qualification to the African Youth Championship is threatened after they suffered a 1-3 defeat to Senegal on Saturday in the first leg of the qualifiers.

Niang scored a brace for Senegal, while Ghana's consolation goal came from the foot of Joathan Osabutey.

The Black Stars will need at least two unanswered goals to see off Senegal in the return leg.

Mas-ud Didi Dramani's charges needed at least a goal to progress into the final phase of the qualifiers, after losing 1-2 in Addis Ababa against Ethiopia and they made the home advantage count by walloping them 4-0 in Cape Coast.
