Swiss side Sion recall former Ghana youth star Yartey

Swiss side FC Sion have recalled Ghanaian winger Ishmael Yartey.

Yartey, 26, spent last season with Portuguese second-tier side Gil Vicente and attracted interest from a number of top-flight sides in Portugal.

But Sion have recalled the 2007 Ghana U17 World Cup star for pre-season.

The former Benfica star has commenced pre-season training with the former Swiss Cup winners alongside Black Stars attacker Ebenezer Assifuah who also plays at the club.

Yartey has a year left on his contract with Dion and might not renew the deal when it expires next season.

The winger who earned Black Stars call-up in 2012 has had spells with clubs like Sochaux, Portland Timbers and FC Servette.
