Ghana Premier League: Hearts rake in GH¢ 450,000 from 0-1 defeat to Kotoko

Hearts of Oak's 0-1 defeat to Kumasi Asante Kotoko on Monday at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium recorded an unprecedented high of GH¢  450,000 gross from gate proceeds.

The hype for the game drew huge following to the stadium and enabled all 38,000 tickets available to be sold out.

Alhaji Akambi, a member of the Hearts of Oak board and Strategic Committee has confirmed the amount realised at the gates.

'In monetary terms the game recorded GH¢  450,000 gross from gate proceeds,' he told Happy FM.

The GH¢  450,000 is subject to deductions by the National Sports Authority, VAT and the 10% of the amount will go to the Ghana Football Association.
