Asamoah Gyan hails Shanghai SPIG win over Changchun Yatai in Chinese Super League

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has hailed Shanghai SPIG's emphatic 3-1 victory over Changchun Yatai in the Chinese Super League on Sunday.

The 30-year-old iconic striker climbed off the bench in the 43rd minute and netted the third goal to seal victory for Sven Goran Eriksson's men at the Development Area Stadium.

The former Sunderland striker took to Twitter to express his joy following his scoring performance in the match.

Gyan has scored two goals in his four appearances for Shanghai SPIG in a season that has been disturbed by injury problems.

SPIG manager Eriksson has said he does not want to rush the striker they said last season.
