Schalke get Morocco midfielder Belhanda on loan from Dynamo Kiev

Orlando, Florida, Jan. 7, (GNA/dpa) - Morocco international Younes Belhanda has completed a loan move to Schalke until the end of the season from Ukrainian champions Dynamo Kiev, the Bundesliga club said late Wednesday.

Schalke said the transfer has been finalised and that Belhanda has joined his new club at a training camp in Florida.

Coach Andre Breitenreiter praised the 25-year-old midfielder as "quick, dynamic and he gets goals and assists."

The 33-times capped Belhanda won the French league 2012 with Montpellier and the Ukrainian league last year with Dynamo.

"I have often dreamt about playing in the Bundesliga" and praised Schalke as a big club with "a great history," he said.

Schalke lie sixth in the Bundesliga during the winter break and restart action January 24 at home against lowly Werder Bremen.
