Roda JC Manager Ton Caneen holds nothing against departed Richmond Boakye Yiadom

Roda JC director of Sports Ton Caneen says he hopes departed Ghana international Richmond Boakye Yiadom will go on to achieve his potential despite terminating his contract with the Dutch side.

'I feel sorry that this happened. Richmond has a great personality and is a good person, ' Roda sporting director Ton Caneen is quoted by Pulse sports

'Unfortunately he didn't feel happy here and this is so important in life and football.'

'Therefore we respected his wish to leave and wish him all the best and luck with his next step in his young career.'

Boakye joined the Dutch side in the summer on a season loan from Italian Serie A side Atlanta but failed to find the back of the net in the nine games he played for the club.
