It's Not Easy To Sit Out

Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah says sitting out of games due to injury is no child's play.

A nagging knee injury has robbed the fine player of regular playing time- watching games from the stands since last November.

The Juventus man has described the sideline experience as very unpleasant considering the fact that he had to watch some of his side's games from home.

Asamoah,26, however has promised to bounce back in class, having announced his presence in Juventus' 3-1 over Bologna last week.

Speaking to the club's official website, he said 'It's not easy to be sidelined for such a long time. I've been watching games at home or at the stadium with an ever increasing desire to be back out there alongside my teammates.'

'I'm training everyday with the team in order to get back to full fitness. I can tell I'm improving day by day and I'm happy.'

'By remaining on this track, I'll be back to my old self - my career is still a long one and I've got many years ahead of me.'

'I've had great support from my family, staff and teammates who have always been able to find the right words to give me the positivity I required on my road to recovery,' Asamoah added.

'Now, I'm on my way back and I can't wait to be out on the pitch.'

The former Liberty Professionals man joined the Old Lady in 2012 from Udinese, winning  the 2012-13, 2013-14 and 2014-15 Serie A titles with Juventus.
