Kwesi Nyantakyi-Massive interest in European leagues killing local football

The President of the Ghana Football Association Kwesi Nyantakyi has attributed the lack of interest in the Ghana Premier League to the inundation of foreign league matches being shown across the country.

'We have foreign football which is very common on our TVs these days competing with our domestic football…and in those days we didn't have European football…you can even watch Russian football, Azerbaijan football, Cyprus football…not to talk about the English league…and these have attracted the best players in the world.
