Plaudit: Andre Ayew is more than a Premier League forward, Ian Wright explains
Andre Ayew continues to earn plaudits for his performances since signing for Swansea City to play in the English Premier League.
The Ghanaian player returned to the goals after drawing blank in the month of September following an explosive start to his campaign at the Welsh club.
Ayew's superb heading goal against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday has seen him earn praises from the top scorer in Premier League history Alan Shearer.
The Black Stars vice-captain has again earned special praise from one of the great Premier League strikers and Arsenal legend Ian Wright.
Ian Wright said of Ballon D'Or nominee Andre Ayew:
'He's relishing the Premier League and he's a perfect player for Swansea City.
'They signed Montero last year and now, to be fair, they've done it again with Ayew.'
'We see him chasing back a lot. He's very tenacious and he's got a lot of quality about him.
'We see him on the edge of his own box making great blocks.'
Ian Wright in his analysis of Andre Ayew picked a list of attributes for the Ghana international that sets him apart from other strikers.
The former Arsenal player said:
'I thought he was a forward but he's far more than that.'

- He wins his team free kicks with clever play
- He makes dangerous runs into the box
- He has great technical ability and passes with both feet
- He plays exquisite through balls to Bafetimbi Gomis
- He's struck up a great relationship with Gomis
- He creates time and space for the players around him
- He's got a rocket shot
- His headed goal was 'fantastic' because it was so powerful
Alan Shearer also added:
'We often hear about foreign players needing time to adapt to the Premier League.
