MTN FA Cup: Kotoko coach Duncan anticipates a difficult final against Medeama

Coach David Duncan expects Medeama sc to be a tough customer to his side Kumasi Asante Kotoko when they come face to face in the MTN FA Cup final on Sunday at the Essipong Sports Stadium, but added that Kotoko would leave no stone unturned in order to execute the task.

These is an opportunity for the Porcupine Warriors to avenge their defeat to Medeama sc in the 2013 MTN FA Cup final staged at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, Accra.

However, David Duncan has admitted that it wont be an easy task, despite having confidence in his team to deliver the goods.

'It obviously won't be an easy match. We don't expect it to be easy. If you have all players available, then of course you can go into the game with some degree of confidence that, you have a good chance of winning it,' he told the club's website.

'It's one of the avenues through which we wanted to look at players who haven't been too active. These are not the kind of times to experiment; so when you get the opportunity, you want to have a look at them and plan.

'There are players who are coming from a long layoff for various reasons. A player like Michael Akuffu went on trials and since his return, the team that has been playing has been jelling' he said. 'There seems to be some understanding between the players who have been playing. The partnership that has existed between Jackson and Kwadwo Poku has been good.

'There is going to be a time that we might need Akuffu; so these are some of the ways by which you must get him to be in sync with the team. 'Others have been quite busy for this game, so we rested them. We're going to come back strongly to prepare for the cup final.'
